The last couple years I had squirrels that were getting increasingly aggressive and destructive. They stripped out from my garden all my strawberries and tomatoes plus destroyed any container veggies on the deck. I even had to quit feeding hummingbirds because they were destroying that feeder too. One even started chewing through the stairs on my deck, though there was nothing to eat in that area. Got a couple with a pellet rifle but they kept sending reinforcements. I set this trap a couple days ago and thus far have caught 4 squirrels and a few chipmunks as well. It's a powerful trap, so you might want to keep the garden hose handy as chipmunks don't fare well in it. A smaller, slightly less powerful version would be great for chipmunks.

Went to big box store for dryer vent guard, all plastic so I searched online and found several places that had critter guards similar to this one. This was the best price so I got it. When it arrived in just a couple days, I was glad that it felt like it would stand up to anything in our neck of the woods. If I could ask for anything different, it would be to add another inch width and height. In our opening, someone knocked out the bricks more than needed so our opening is larger than it should be. I'm very glad to have found this guard.
