Duke DP "Dog Proof" Raccoon Trap! This trap features a fully enclosed triggering mechanism that only works on a "pulling" action. The animal must grasp the triggering bar and pull it, only the raccoon has such capabilities. The trap also has a heavy duty machine chain with swivels attached. Bought 3 of these to keep the raccoons from eating more of my corn than I did. They were hard to bait and set as the spring was not compressible. Used a large pair of slip lock pliers to compress it. Using only mini Swedish fish as bait, I quickly caught 2 raccoons.

I am a novice at trapping and these traps work great. Had a bad coon problem and 3 of these traps took care of them in 10 days. I made a tool as the spring is stout without one. Shipping was fast. Highly recommended.

You will need some decent hand strength to set the trap or buy the tool. I baited this thing with baby marshmallows and got rid of the whole family of raccoons trashing my property and screen house. 8 raccoons in 7 days using only 1 trap.
