The Intimidator is a professional grade visual bird deterrent that uses motion and bright flashing to scare away woodpeckers and other birds from unwanted areas. Woodpeckers can cause serious damage to homes and other buildings. The Intimidator is lightweight and needs very little air current to create a dynamic visual effect that frightens birds. Woodpeckers were making multiple holes in my cedar siding this fall. Placed devices up as recommended, however the birds continued to peck holes. one hole was right underneath a spinner. it seems there has to be some amount of wind for the product to work and maybe that was the reason the birds weren't repelled.
