Solid, Proven and one of the best covers on the market. All vent covers are black polyurethane coated for long life and to make them virtually invisible from the ground. Collapsed to save with storage space and for cost of shipping. Made of 1/2" x 1/2" poly-coated welded wire for strength & durability. Tabs are located on opposing sides of the vent cover for attachment to the roof. Use coated rust resistant deck screws with stainless steel washers to anchor the cover over a vent. As an added insurance policy it is always advisable to place a dab of silicone caulk over each of the screw heads.
The side walls of this attic fan cover fold flat for cheaper shipping and easier storage. The side walls aren't secured to each other at the bottom corners, so you will need to secure them with something to help keep critters out. I used steel wire. Very easy to install. Great for keeping birds and squirrels out of attic spaces. I wouldn't trust it against raccoons due to the multi-piece construction and only four roof attachment flanges.
