Safeguard Professional Series Cage Trap with the Slide Release Back feature. This trap measures  36"L x 11"W x 12"H. It features 1" x .5" wire mesh over the complete bottom, 3" up each side and the entire back of the trap. The pan has been given a bevel on the backside for added strength, and a sliding rear door has been incorporated for ease of baiting and release of captured animals. This trap is excellent for large raccoon, armadillo, feral cats,and similarly sized animals.  Will deliver years of service.

PROFESSIONAL SERIES FEATURES:

  • All traps made of Galfan™ wire as opposed to common galvanized wire for a higher corrosion resistance, resulting in a three-times longer life.
  • Internal bait tray travel stops.
  • Heavy duty bait tray to eliminate damage by trapped animals.
  • Additional operating rod support rings for superior durability.
  • 1/2" x 1" 14 gauge wire covering the entire floor of trap to protect turf and roof shingles.
  • Carrying handles and hand guard.
  • Trap door reinforced to provide maximum performance and superior animal retention.
  • Made in the USA and covered by a 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
TIP: Bait placement should be all the way to the rear of the trap, beyond the triggering pan. DO NOT smear or place directly on the triggering pan.  You want the animal to pass over and onto the triggering pan with their focus and attention on the bait.

I bought this particular trap because I borrowed one like it to trap raccoons and it always held them. I like the double door for baiting and release. I also like the simple release device for the trap door. Nice trap!
