The Collarum® ACO Special contains everything needed for capturing that "hard-to-catch" domestic dog. Some canines can be shy and refuse to enter box or cage traps. The Collarum works on their "bite & pull' feeding behavior. Hunger and/or food curiosity will help draw them in, and the desire to taste the bait will trigger the throw device to "Collar 'em". Once captured, it's like holding them on a leash.

This kit includes a Field Guide and Setting Instructions that explain how to set the Collarum and online instructions can be accessed through the "Videos" tab. The following additional equipment is included in the kit:
- 1 Domestic Dog model Collarum (Stainless)
- 2 Cables; 1 primary and 1 replacement (both w/Relaxalock)
- 2 Rebar stakes for anchoring the Collarum cable
- 2 Pegs for anchoring the Collarum baseplate
- 1 Quick link attached to the primary cable for easier transfer of canine
- 1 Prepared fuzzy bait cap and 1 Regular bait cap
- 1 (4 oz.) Jar of Canine Specific Food Bait/Lure
- 1 Bait Spreader for applying bait/lure
- 1 5ft. Security cable for theft prevention

I am part of a volunteer dog catching/trapping team, and we had a dog who we just couldn't catch. We had been trying for almost 4 months, first with a box trap, then with a Missy trap. She just would not go in either. We also got her vet to prescribe telazol and acepromazine to put in her food, and it made her drowsy, but she was still able to evade us. We finally came across this product, and after reading reviews and watching HARTT's videos on its setup and use, we decided to try it. It worked on the first try!!! We were so relieved to finally catch our girl and bring her to safety. If you buy this, definitely watch the manufacturer's video (on this site), and HARTT's setup video (at https://youtu.be/UfB8k1eScPk). The initial setup can be a bit tricky, and my device had a slight glitch that made me think I wasn't putting it together correctly (the issue was with the way the cinch spring was inserted into the base). I also recommend making the wood holder/incline like HARTT recommends in their video. Without the Collarum, I don't know if we ever would have caught this dog! (Note that the dog does freak out, and I wouldn't recommend the Collarum as a first option, but it can be a good choice in certain situations where other tools/traps have failed.

I've been trying to trap a stray Boxer for 17 months. I trapped her in a kennel trap twice and she escaped. She grew too cautious to go back in. So a fellow rescuer recommended the Collarum. I bought one and made a slight modification mounting it on a plywood platform angled up about 3-4 inches. After several test runs on myself, the Collarum worked like a charm on Penny the elusive Boxer. Thanks to this invention, Penny is now safe and fitting right in with our family. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. Thank you Wild Life Control Supplies!!

I am an animal control officer in Massachusetts. I have had a dog (a walker hound) get away from the owner. I tried many other live trap systems but she wouldn't go near any cage like thing. I finally found this system 6 months later. All I needed to do was establish a feeding station for her. We did and had a deer cam up to confirm. Then we set the trap and caught her the first time we tried. After her being lost from July 21, 2013 and we caught her on 03/11/2014! You will need 2 people and a rabies pole so you don't get bit (if the dog is a bite risk... which after being startled by the trap any dog could be). SO THANKFUL FOR THIS SYSTEM!!!!
