Works great for chipmunks. A friend recommended the traps and did me a real favor. Also have caught a couple of rats and some mice but the real payoff is the reduction in the chipmunk population.

This trap works great for Chipmunks, Vols and even mice. Last season I caught over 25 chipmunks around the property. This is just starting Spring here (early April) and I've already trapped 4 chipmunks. Very easy to bait and set. The only drawback I have encountered is that they tend to fail, can't set them, after 25 to 50 settings. The locking mechanism to hold them open and ready to catch more critters fails and they just keep snapping shut. Other than having to replace them more than I would like, they do work great.

This trap is easy to set and works great for chipmunks. In some areas we set two side by side as the chipmunks learn to jump the first trap. So effective the neighborhood cats now just check the traps instead of hunting for their own 'munks' (caught on game cam finally) The have stolen 6 traps with chipmunks still attached so I need to replace and wire them in place from now on since I can't find the traps.
