I have used several different types of mole traps in my nuisance wildlife business. Most of those traps are larger in size and more expensive than the NOMOL type traps. These NOMOL traps really work for me. I simply use a trenching tool and dig out an active tunnel. I place the NOMOL trap in the tunnel and anchor the trap with a tent stake through the spring eye of the trap. Lastly, I cover the open trench with the dirt that I removed. There's really not much else to the job except removing the mole when they get caught. I really like the cost per trap and the ease of use of this trap. Dan

After 8+ months of trying the Trapline and Victor scissor traps, I was only able to catch clay and rocks! I'm sure these traps work, they just don't work for moles in Georgia. The Trapline's are too wide for the mole tunnels, and the Victor traps just destroy tunnel, so they just go around it. \nAfter searching for hours one night, I noticed that these appear to be much narrower than the Traplines, so I ordered them. When they arrived, I set three sets, and I got one the very next day!!! Since then, it's been about 3 weeks now, and I have trapped seven of the subterranean devils so far! They are the perfect size for the holes, and are easy to set.

No Luck Yet, Still Practicing

I have arthritis and find the traps very hard to set. I've made a tool that helps spread the tongs but find the trigger so sensitive that it trips while placing the trap in the tunnel.

I bought a dozen of these and have not had the luck that others have had. I do exactly what is shown in the video. I caught one mole immediately, but have not had any luck since. I do find traps that are tripped...only to find that the moles burrowed new tunnels UNDERNEATH the traps. So one of four factors (or a combination of multiple factors) might explain why I am not having as much luck as others: 1) I am not as smart as I thought I was; 2) Other users are much smarter than I am; 3) The moles I am dealing with are smarter than the average mole; and/or 4) The moles others are dealing with aren't that smart. Who knows. At least I got one mole...

These traps are simple to set, requires less time to prepare the mole tunnel and are as effective as the other traps. I have 4 different kinds of mole traps and these are the ones that I use the most.

Solid product that we have used as an alternative to OOS traps. Down side is that you have to uncover them to check them. Up side is that they are effective for both moles and shrews.

I have used many different traps and baits for getting rid of moles in my lawn. I have had the best success with NoMol traps. I am not successful every time, but the majority of the time I am. The claw traps have worked but not as good. It takes more skill to set the claw traps correctly.

I use the NoMol mole trap on all of our mole jobs and have not been let down yet. I highly recommend the NoMol mole traps for both wildlife removal professionals as well as individuals with a mole problem.
