I am so glad these ridge guards are an option for exclusion work. It makes sealing off the ridge vent so much easier than removing it. It looks very professional when done and hard to see from the ground. Even though caulk isn't required around the screws, I still use it as an added prevention of water penetrative. It gets installed quickly and helps with the whole house seal up.

It's rigid but pliable enough to shape to any warping or shingle inconsistency. The 48" are good for steep roofs for safety. I made a jig to hold the pieces on the opposite side of the peak. Easy to cut with snips or a cordless wheel. Great product.

The Z-Mesh is great and creates a solid contact point between ridge vent or other areas without the exposed raw cut that collects leaves and other debris. Who would of thought a couple bends could of made such a HUGE difference with installation, rigidity and performance !!!\n\nHighly recommended!
