Tomahawk Model 404 Turtle Live Trap

The Tomahawk Model 404 is a collapsible turtle trap that can easily be folded flat for storage. This trap is built to catch turtles up to 100 lbs. This trap uses a traditional trip pan to close the trap door. Bait this trap with chopped raw fish in a sack or bait box hanging near the back of the trap. Turtles will enter the trap to feed and step on the trip plate activating the door to shut. Placement of the trap should be partially submerged with the trap door facing deeper water and bait touching the water to ensure the scent from the raw fish enters the water attracting the turtle. This trap measures 40"L x 24"W x 11"H when deployed and 40"L x 36"W x 1"H when collapsed. It is constructed from 1" x 2" - 12ga wire mesh.
