Tomahawk Model 503 can catch and hold 15 or more starling sized birds at one time. This trap features two funnel trap entry doors and a top release panel door for easy removal. Entry point funnel doors have a 2" opening and are adjustable by bending the funnel tines to change desired funnel size. When trapping birds make sure to have both seed bait and a water source in or near the trap. Bait the area with seed for several days before introducing the trap then place the trap over the bait area with seed and water inside the trap. This trap measures 36L x 16W x 12H and is constructed of 1" x 1" wire mesh.

Very satisfied with this trap. It's not particularly easy to design a good trap for pest birds. I've had the trap out for several hours over a couple of days and I've caught 6 grackles and 2 house sparrows so far. That's quite good for the population size that I'm dealing with here.
In my situation, I'm only going to have the trap out when I'm around and can keep an eye on it. I have caught other birds that I don't want to harm, like a Blue Jay, Downy Woodpecker, Brown Thrasher, and Robin. It's been easy to let them out. I just go out and open the top door and back away and they usually fly out quite quickly. Smaller birds, like Chipping Sparrows can usually find their own way out.
I've learned the hard way that you do need to keep an eye on the trap. Grackles that go in, will eventually find their way out. As soon as one goes in, I've learned to go out and take care of it. Otherwise, it will be gone.
