WCS is pleased to offer the ARMOR-COATED WCS™ Tube Trap™. The Tube Trap is treated with an electro-plating process which is olive drab in color and is highly rust resistant. No need to dip, dye, or spray paint these traps. Just pull them out of the box and use them. Will last for years. This tunnel shaped trap is a very effective squirrel and rodent trap. Constructed of 21-gauge steel, the trap is 4.5 inches in diameter, 15 inches long, and is powered by a beefy double torsion spring. Used either baited or non-baited, the Tube Trap is a natural attractant to squirrels wanting to run through it or hide in it. Once the squirrel reaches the triggering pan in the middle of the trap, the double torsion spring triggers the strike bar. When a capture is made, the squirrel is generally hidden from public view. The WCS™ Rust Resistant Tube Trap comes with a built in safety latch to prevent the trap from prematurely firing while setting.

The trap is reasonably priced, high quality construction and was quickly shipped. I have been having issues with squirrels chewing the wiring when making a nest in the engine compartment of my truck (so far I've spent over $2,000 on repairs). I put some peanut butter in the middle of the trap and sprinkled some sunflower seed on each end and have caught one critter so far.

The WCS Tube Trap is a well made and easy to use tube trap for pest control. This includes squirrels and other similar sized rodents, as well as weasels and mink. I’ve used the tube trap successfully in my barn and in the attic of my house. Once you’ve trapped the critters, then you can block their entrances.

These traps work great for squirrels as well as hiding them from peeping eyes. Highly recommended!

A squirrel was destroying my patio garden, emptying my bird feeder, and torturing the neighbor dogs when it ran along the tops of the fences. I knew where he was coming in and tried chicken wire and metal plates to try to block any access, but he kept evading whatever I did, including running around the front of the house and coming in the other side! It was a battle like between Bill Murray and the gopher in Caddyshack, and he was winning! So, I left up all my "deterrents" and then re-opened only his original, favorite path a few inches and put this right there, and it nailed him within 24 hours.
Follow the instructions and it's really easy to use. Remember, set it in front of you with the pins/trigger AWAY from you and use both thumbs to push the bar forward and over the top of the tube to engage all the parts - it's not tricky. And USE THE SAFETY until it's set in place then gently flip that out of the way.
BTW I used no bait

The trap is solidly built and simple to operate. I ordered two and one came somewhat damaged due to the shipper, the company was great about returning my email and discounting the purchase so I could buy a bit of rust proofing spray. Excellent customer service. I am not planning to deploy the trap continuously till about mid October pending some other work I have going. I do have high hopes for it's effectiveness based on other reviewers so let's see how it goes.

Product arrived as advertised. Set it up with some peanut butter on a slice of apple for bait and got a squirrel the first day. However the following day I set it up again and by night nothing had happened. From what I can tell, a squirrel got caught, but apparently only by its tail and ran off with the trap. My yard camera could see the trap was there barely around 11pm and by 4pm it was gone. We have yet to find it. :-( So beware, stake the trap to the ground!

The last couple years I had squirrels that were getting increasingly aggressive and destructive. They stripped out from my garden all my strawberries and tomatoes plus destroyed any container veggies on the deck. I even had to quit feeding hummingbirds because they were destroying that feeder too. One even started chewing through the stairs on my deck, though there was nothing to eat in that area. Got a couple with a pellet rifle but they kept sending reinforcements. I set this trap a couple days ago and thus far have caught 4 squirrels and a few chipmunks as well. It's a powerful trap, so you might want to keep the garden hose handy as chipmunks don't fare well in it. A smaller, slightly less powerful version would be great for chipmunks.
