Trap Fork/Divider: Used to control the movement of captured animals inside trap. Used to force animal to the front or back of trap for replenishment of food and water or to administer injections. Use as a safety measure to segregate the animal in one area of the trap.
I am a fan of Safeguard and own alot of their products. So it hurts to write this review. I had two animals squeeze right through the tines of this divider fork while transferring them from a homeowner's trap into my transfer cage. The first was a young woodchuck which wasn't that big of a deal. The second more painful escapee was a full grown adult skunk. It was a high dollar emergency call. Also the homeowner watched as it escaped and went right back under there porch. So needless to say it hurt my pride and reputation. So I issued them a refund and now have to deal with capturing a educated skunk now. I suggest buying a fork with smaller spacing. Learn from my mistake. This review is not meant to reflect poorly on Safeguard or WCS. I highly recommend both of these companies. I hope my review only reflects on this one product, and can keep someone else from having critters escape on them. Thank WCS and Safeguard for everything you do for the industry!!!

This is a beautifully made product, and very lightweight for carrying around. However the tines are placed too far apart for feral cats. A person could be easily scratched and a kitten could easily squeeze through. So get the more expensive version if it will be your only divider. I'm going to use this for safely releasing those damned raccoons that are always lumbering into the cat traps and for the semi-ferals who don't try to scratch me when servicing the trap during holding. Thank you WCS for your excellent customer service.
