HANDY LITTLE TRAPS. SHOULD HAVE A SAFETY LATCH LIKE ANY OTHER CONIBEAR WOULD BE THE ONLY THING I'D CHANGE. SPRINGS ARE EASY TO SET WITH ONE HAND UNLESS YOU HAVE DIMINISHED HAND STRNGTH. NIC ETRAPS.

This trap is simple to use and easy to set if you have a good grip. It’s my go to for almost any burrowing animal (skunk, squirrel, rats, mink, muskrat, etc.) catches are right there at 100% for any critter going in or out of an opening. Almost no incidental catches either and almost no maintenance needed.

I agree with other reviews regarding product efficacy, quality and ease of use...once you can get the trap set. Very difficult to set even after hosing down with WD40, etc. Once set the first time, subsequent attempts much easier. Nailed 3 Richardson ground squirrels "Montana gophers" in one day from same hole. Very effective...after first set!

These traps work excellent on gray diggers. I got results immediately after setting them out.

These are the only way I've found to eliminate ground squirrels (because they're too smart for my Havahart traps). I leave 3.5" body grip traps in the burrow opening for several days. When the ground squirrels get careless it catches their neck for a quick kill. So far, no maimed squirrels or coyotes, but would not trust the family dog. Coyotes have dragged off two traps because I left out a carcass overnight. Long 3/4" stakes are a must!

I didn't even know how to set these. I had to watch the video here. So easy with technique. Ground squirrels dug into my chicken run, so I finally decided I would just leave the hole, and set the trap. 25 squirrels later, the problem is gone. No more squirrels helping themselves to pounds of chicken feed.

I haven't used these kind of traps before, they are going to be used to get rid of a few Einstein squirrels that manage to get around every thing I used before.\nI put a safety latch to make it easier to install while set.

I have been using this trap style for two seasons and they work very well. They do require good hand strength to set, but it is easier as you break in the trap and get more experience with them. Even though I broke my wrist this year I was still able to set the trap using a 6 inch flat vice. I removed 100 animals last year using three traps
