The island recently was overrun with rabbits. Drove my dogs crazy. Bought the trap and baited with included apple essence and apple slices. Two bunnies trapped so far in just a couple of days (which were humanly dispatched with nitrogen).

I had this rabbit in my garden for over two months and tried everything using a wire trap. I knew its movements pretty well by the time I got the box trap. The first day he did with the wooden trap what he did with the wire trap, which is to somehow get the food and clear out without getting caught. He was very small and knew me well also, I think, but once I moved the food back far enough to force him to step on the plate, I had him. I am not sure if the apple essence worked or if I had the food in just the right position at last, but I asked no questions. Got him out of here in record time and if his kin come looking for him, I am ready for them too. Thank you! It is great to walk around in my garden again without being paranoid any longer about what he is going to eat next.

Well constructed trap. Caught our bunny and now the garden is growing again. I did have to add some bait (Brussels sprouts) as a trail to the trap to get the rabbit in, but I was very happy with the results. There are no instructions on how to set the trap, but after looking at some still photos I finally figured it out. Instructions would be helpful. A WCS representative did call me back (I had left a message after hours) to help me with the setup, so they are very responsive.

These are pretty awesome wood traps good for rabbits that are testy and won't go into a cage trap. If you are using a cage trap for rabbits do you have to make the floor dirt or you'll never get them to go in there they will not walk on metal but even a blind dog finds his bone occasionally. The traps are well-made very sturdy traps They are worth adding to your arsenal if you trap Rabbits as frequently as we do.

The number of rabbits in our neighborhood has dramatically increased over the past 4 years, and it's made it very hard to maintain a flower bed or vegetable garden without excessive damage. I've resorted to building a 20'x15' fenced in garden just because of them, but I'm tired of putting cages around all the plants they ruin in my flower bed. I got this trap hoping we could catch at least a few, but to my surprise we caught one after 3 days, then another a few days later. Both times I left the trap against the fence near their entry/exit points. I reapply 2 drops of the apple scent every day. I hope it continues to work this well. It's a wonderfully built trap, very sturdy and reliable. Much better quality than if I had tried making one myself. Well worth the price for something so well made.

Well constructed and easy to immediately start using. Caught the garden destroying rabbit in 3 days. The apple scent seemed to help.

I've been trying to get the local rabbits to go in my wire cage all winter with no luck. Even the squirrels would not go in. The second night I put the WCS wooden box trap out, I caught an extra large garden marauding rabbit. He was so comfortable in there, I had a hard time getting him out. I finally reached in a pulled him out by the hind legs. Wish I had a recorder on hand right then, as he started squealing at the top of his lungs. He wasn't hurt, but I guess that was his scared call. A recording of that would be good to use out on predator hunts. I'm sure it would have attracted many coyotes. The WCS box trap is easy to set and only a few drops of the included Apple Essence was all that was needed to coax the rabbit inside. The WCS box is re-set waiting for the next local rabbit to make a visit.
