M15 Bear Foot Snare, versatile, easy to bait and incredibly effective ! To set, mount the M15 spring mechanism to a 5 gallon bucket (not included) with the spring-activated cable loop attached to the bucket lid. A bear reaching into the bucket to pull on the bait hook is immediately captured around the paw. It definitely works. Only issue is coons and skunks... Caught them almost nightly..... But the first time the bear reached in.... He was snared.

Good quality. Did not come with instructions, but they are easy to find online. Look forward to catching a bear with it.

Haven't caught a bear yet ,wrong time of the year, but I figured out that you can use this set on a coyote in the winter if you can get the sicker to pull the bait. The thing is you have to have the right snares and camouflage the bucket.

Overall the M15 is a great bear trap. However, the instructions are unclear and it takes some inventiveness to get it set up. Turns out that 5-gallon buckets with lids are hard to come by. Clips to hold the cable loop are also rare items. And, the setting instructions do not mention the clip on the spring (which must be released for the trap to function) or the clip on the trigger, which must be CAREFULLY slid over the spring bar. Once set up this is a hair-trigger trap, so stay away from the spring arm (which can wipe your eyebrows right off your face) and do not fiddle with the trap once it's in place. A slight bump can set it off. This is a serious trap - treat it as such.
