The marketplace is moving toward a focus on exclusion and here at Wildlife Control Supplies we strive to be at the forefront of this movement. IPM will become more important as regulations on rodenticides increase. The best long-term solution for commensal rodent issues is “whole home exclusions”. Weep holes, utility entry points, and siding gaps are common ground level access points. Because most rodents are excellent climbers be sure to properly seal not only at ground level, but along the roofline as well. Ridge, gable, and soffit returns are often used by all animals including rodents. All potential entry points larger than ¼” must be sealed with products rodents cannot chew through. As fall and winter approach homeowners will be calling after noticing an increase in rodent activity. Are you prepared?

Our newest rodent control product is Metex RatTape, Rat & Mouse Proofing Tape is an innovative rodent proofing tape that incorporates a dense stainless mesh. This seriously tough rat and mouse proofing tape has two layers of butyl tape that "sandwiches" a dense stainless steel mesh core. RatTape is non-toxic, sticky, flexible and virtually impenetrable. Great for covering gaps, cracks, holes, utility entry points and it adheres to most building materials. 50MM (1.968") wide and available in two lengths, 1M (3.28 ft) or 5M (16.4 ft), it can be painted to match its surroundings. This innovative product has been successfully used in Europe for some time with great results. This new product is the answer to successfully and professionally conducting rodent exclusion projects.

Another great product for exclusion is PrevenChew™ Stainless Steel Mesh. This product comes in 4” and 8” widths and each roll is 25’ long. It is a tubular flat mesh design and can be used doubled or rolled. PrevenChew™ is stainless steel so will not rust and will hold up in harsh environments. Xcluder™ is another great tool to prevent rodent entry. Xcluder™ is made from a blend of coarse stainless steel and poly fibers creating an impenetrable barrier against rodents. This product can be used around utility penetrations, gaps, cracks and crevices. Xcluder is also available integrated into door sweep and loading dock exclusion formats. Copper Mesh is another tubular rodent proofing product that has been proven successful in keeping out rodents. Laid flat it is approximately 6” wide and is rolled for easy use and storage. Copper Mesh comes in 100’ and 400’ rolls.
